About the Association
Established in 1894, the Roofing & Waterproofing Contractors Association of New York is an Association of the leading roofing and waterproofing contractors in the New York Metropolitan area. These premier contractors perform work on structures, including office buildings, residential towers, hotels and public work projects, among others.
The Association performs collective bargaining on behalf of its members and in conjunction with Roofers Local Union No. 8, administers the employee benefit funds and the industry’s apprentice training and continuing education programs. All member contractor employees are trained at the apprentice school utilizing state-of-the-art skill training, with strong emphasis on new technology and safe work practices.

Roofing work continues today with an emphasis on health and safety, especially the development of high standards to protect workers. Our members have made safety their number one priority and utilize the latest technology to ensure high quality and safe work for every task.
